Surfing pic of the day, Ethan Egiguren

I shot this pics of local Ethan Egiguren in Donostia San Sebastian, in last November. This day we had some big waves with so much white water which allows us to appreciate how he splashes water with his maneuver.
Ethan he might be young but he's already a hell of a surfer. It is such an spectacle to see him surf whenever he's at La Zurriola.

A new short film about him and his surf style just been released. If you want to know more about this young gun, check out the trailer here and see the movie online at www.monsterchildren.com and www.3sesenta.com

Surf city San Sebastian, Basque Country

San Sebastian or Donostia (in basque) is a city at the north west of Spain, just 20 minutes away from the French border. Donostia is the only surf city in Europe, beautifully surrounded by mountains, green landscapes and reefs meeting the ocean.

Passing a summer here is to fall in love forever with the city. Between the multicultural ambiance, the excellent food, the multiple concerts, the nice and not that warm weather, the surf just in the middle of the city, it becomes hard to leave at the end of your stay.

But this paradise can't be like this all year long. The Basque Country it is precisely very green due to a lot of rain of course. Winters here are not that pleasant, but for me the best season is just when the fall is starting around in September.

I took these pictures at fall when the colors are most romantic, waves gets bigger and light is insanely beautiful.

When Urumea river meets the Ocean with big swell, it creates waves too! Yes, surfers come here sometimes..

Surfing pic of the day, documenting the stoke!

For those surfing (or not), you might recognize the feeling of the first wave caught, or how cool is to see one friend "doing it" for the first time, specially being a kid.
I was so lucky to be there at this precise very moment, and to have my camera with me.. hope you'll like it

We deserve to surf! surfing pic of the day: Christen

It's Friday  and we deserve to surf, or at least dream about it! Today, this pic of Christen, a hell of a surfer I met in Maderas beach. This Texan was a real charger, surfing everyday twice a day.
Between sessions she and her boyfriend are developing and selling natural products they make with raw ingredients called "Pura Verdad". I bought from them a lip balm with marihuana inside.. it smell delicious every time I put it on, and it's very nourishing indeed!

Christen charging a nice right at Maderas, go girl!!

Friday song suggest

If you're still at office, this might cheer you up onto your final hours of suffering, watching the weekend is just a few hours away. Here's "Vacation" from The Blank Tapes, a very cool surfy band I met last year in California in a Cyrus Sutton's party. Enjoy and dream on!!

What would be more than stoked in English?

What would be the word of more than stoked in English?

Well, I really don't know, but I feel more than stoked to have one of my pics highlighted  at the Surfing Scene in the Seshn.com platform. So, what is Seshn? you have to be wondering?
Seshn is like a magazine online to share interesting content in different themes like Surfing, Art, Photo, etc. You can get an invite to collaborate (what happened to me), or you can ask for an invitation, and if they consider your content is cool, they invite you to collaborate.
Once you collaborate and submit some posts, their team review it and if it's cool enough they highlight your post in some of the scenes.

So, yes, this pic of mine made it to the Surfing scene... more than stoked!!! You can see the pic online here: http://surfing.seshn.com/ and of course here it is. What do you think of it?
